We are seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor of Large Animal Medicine and Surgery to join our faculty at Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the mission of the University in large animal surgery programs of study.
Key Responsibilities- Establish curriculum, subject matter, and methods of instruction for large animal surgery programs.
- Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of courses and academic programs within the College of Veterinary Medicine.
- Promote a culture of respect for knowledge, thought, and inquiry among students and faculty.
- Maintain intellectual integrity and strive for academic excellence in teaching.
- Design and present courses, lectures, and small group discussions on large animal surgery topics.
- Prepare examination questions and grade courses or portions of courses.
- Meet classes according to published schedules and commit to working in a multicultural environment.
- Provide service by attending faculty meetings and serving on appointed and elected committees as required.
- Complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of University programs.
- Veterinary Medical degree.
- Advanced degree in large animal surgery and/or specialty board certification are highly desirable.
