Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine to join our faculty at Lincoln Memorial University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, clinical duties, and scientific scholarship in the Department of Clinical Medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach the skills and approaches of Osteopathic Manipulation in accordance with the mission of the University, the School, and the Department.
  • Provide clinical service and teaching students in the clinical setting.
  • Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of courses and academic programs within the LMU-DCOM Knoxville location.
  • Participate in scholarly activity and serve as a mentor to medical and other students.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • D.O. degree and Board Certification in Primary Care Specialty.
  • Able to be licensed in Tennessee within the first-year of hire date by the Tennessee Board of Osteopathic Examination/Tennessee Medical State Board.
  • Unrestricted Tennessee license and approved medical professional liability insurance must be maintained throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in clinical/academic medicine teaching and leadership.
  • Board Certification in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.
