Manufacturing Engineer I

Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer I will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the value stream and performing process development activities. This position will focus on optimizing processes for manufacture and product flow, including downtime mitigation, root cause investigations, and cost savings initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operations and new product/process development
- Support the validation of equipment and processes as required (IQ, OQ, PQ)
- Support capacity planning, cost improvement, and facilities layout for equipment moves and additions
- Support operator training for new and existing processes
- Partner with resources such as suppliers and Olympus sites to resolve technical issues or improve processes or products
- Assess process capabilities, recommend process improvement opportunities, innovate, and implement process improvements
- Participate on cross-functional project teams
- Review prints for new and existing products
- Follows GWI's, GSOP, and owns MP's to ensure control of product/process design
Requirements:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree (B.S.) in science/engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience 2+ years' experience
- Experience using LEAN and Six Sigma tools
- Experience with statistical data analysis
- Ability to work well/lead a cross-functional team
- Technical writing skills
- Experience with risk management documentation
- Fixtures/tooling knowledge CAD experience
