Position Overview:
The Automation Technician is accountable for the daily upkeep of automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS) and conveyor/sortation machinery. Key responsibilities include:
  • Performing preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment including trash compactors, balers, emergency lighting, and stretch wrappers.
  • Managing and tracking work orders using eMaint.
  • Estimating labor and material costs for repairs.
  • Acting as a liaison with external vendors and suppliers.
  • Reviewing and estimating design costs, labor, materials, and other related expenses in facility planning.
  • Ensuring compliance with company facility standards.
  • Researching and proposing enhancements to operational efficiencies with a focus on environmental sustainability.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; a two-year college degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally at a senior level.
  • 70e certification.
  • Familiarity with Exacta is advantageous.

Key Competencies:
This role requires a seasoned individual contributor who can operate with limited supervision in routine situations. The candidate should:
  • Demonstrate analytical skills to address non-routine problems.
  • Make minor adjustments to working methods as necessary.
  • Provide administrative or technical support at a senior level.
  • Possess the ability to work independently within established procedures.

Compensation and Benefits:
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $45,000 to $72,000 annually. The actual base pay will depend on various factors including work location, job responsibilities, and relevant experience. Additionally, Ingram Micro offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
