We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team at Assisting Hands Home Care. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide custodial and personal care services to clients in their own homes, under the direction of our Staffing Coordinator.

Salary

The estimated hourly rate for this position is $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience and location. This translates to an annual salary of approximately $37,440 - $45,760 per year, assuming a 40-hour workweek.

Job Description
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment within clients' residences, including light cleaning and straightening of living areas, bathrooms, and bedrooms.
  • Perform all personal care activities as outlined in a written Plan of Care, which may include assisting clients with personal hygiene, ambulation, exercise, eating, dressing, shaving, physical transfer, and other duties as assigned.
  • Provide nutritional support as needed, including preparing meals and snacks.
  • Report changes in clients' conditions to our Staffing Coordinator.
  • Other activities as determined necessary and trained on for specific clients, such as assisting with use of devices for aid to daily living, teaching household routines, and measuring intake and output of fluids.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in a home or long-term care setting, preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • A valid driver's license (for travel between client locations).
