Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Memorial Medical Center. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, perform basic patient care activities, including vital sign measurements, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families, promoting a positive and calming environment.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care and emergency department procedures.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and grow with our team is essential.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Medical/Surgical semester from a school of nursing program with a B average or better is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
