About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Services Coordinator to join our team at Bethesda Group, LLC. As a key member of our culinary services department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality dining experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Culinary Services Director in scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage on each shift.
  • Handle call-offs and absences in accordance with community policies and procedures.
  • Provide on-call support as needed and scheduled by the Culinary Services Director.
  • Support the Culinary Services Director in recruiting, screening, and selecting staff who are compassionate and dedicated to providing quality care to seniors.
  • Assist with payroll functions, including missed punches, meal periods, time off requests, and employee evaluations.
  • Support the Culinary Services Director in training and development, including team performance, technical issues, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with budgetary adherence through compliant procurement and proper production standards.
  • Support the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment, adhering to state, federal, local, and community policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in food production and service, sanitation, and safety, as well as previous supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team, prioritizing workload in emergency situations.
  • Excellent organizational, motivational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage stress in a constructive manner.
  • Current driver's license and compliance with auto policy requirements.
Working Environment

Our culinary services department operates in a fast-paced environment, requiring moderate physical activity, including handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently. The ability to lift residents, with assistance, over 100 pounds is also required.
