Job Title: Staff RF Payload Communications Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff RF Payload Communications Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating advanced RF communications systems for our airborne military applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop RF communications systems for airborne platforms
  • Integrate RF communications systems with other airborne systems
  • Develop and implement requirements for RF communications systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful system integration
  • Perform technical leadership and management of program strategic partners and suppliers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 14 years of related experience, or Master's degree in a STEM field and 12 years of related experience, or Ph.D. and 9 years of related experience
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • Experience with system modeling and requirements management tools, RF antenna and component design, and electromagnetics in the RF spectrum
  • Knowledge of airborne military applications and experience with voice, military, and network waveforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Experience with performance assessment through link margin and antenna pattern analyses
  • Ability to design select and characterize RF design to meet mission objectives
  • Experience with cryptographic implementations, cosite analysis, and Electromagnetic Effects and Compatibility
