Shift Details:
- Room Attendant: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM
- Weekend Shift: Saturday and Sunday, 9:30 AM – 6 PM
- Lobby Attendant: 2:15 PM – 10:45 PM
- Linen Stocker: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Job Overview:
Experience in hotel room cleaning is essential.
- The role involves direct interaction with guests, management, and other staff members.
- Conduct standard housekeeping tasks, including cleaning guest accommodations, managing linen supplies, and collecting used service items.
- May participate in training new or temporary employees on cleaning protocols.
- Ensure timely and organized cleaning of assigned guest rooms following established standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in designated areas, ensuring compliance with housekeeping standards.
- Implement team cleaning and self-inspection processes, addressing any cleanliness issues with supervisors.
- Collect waste from various hotel areas, including guest rooms and common spaces.
- Handle dirty glassware and linens, ensuring timely delivery of clean items.
- Report lost items to management and perform carpet cleaning and floor maintenance.
- Notify guest services upon completion of room cleaning to facilitate room availability.
- Communicate any service delays to supervisors promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests, responding to their requests efficiently.
- Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude at all times.
- Assist with guest requests for housekeeping supplies in a timely manner.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Organize and maintain linen carts and supplies according to departmental standards.
- Assist with heavy items such as mattresses and soiled linens as needed.
- Receive and sort soiled linens, ensuring proper handling and inspection.
- Operate laundry machines according to guidelines, ensuring proper chemical usage.
- Fold and store clean linens appropriately.
- Maintain security of issued equipment and supplies.
- Participate in monthly inventory counts of linens.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of cleaning standards, methods, and equipment is required.
- Proven experience in customer service is essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
- Skills required include effective communication and operation of cleaning equipment.
- Familiarity with basic cleaning tasks and maintenance of records is necessary.
