Job DescriptionThe Occupational Therapist will work in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting, establishing occupational therapy treatment goals through dynamic and standardized assessment tools. This role requires close collaboration with team members to create collaborative treatment plans and integrative strategies. The successful candidate will provide individual therapy sessions, group, and/or co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate, maintaining patient records and documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy.
The Occupational Therapist will also provide play-based and goal-based interventions to promote sensory processing, regulation, and skill development in daily occupations. This role involves facilitating functional and stimulating experiences to target and achieve individualized goals, devising strategies and supports to help individuals more fully engage in activities of daily living. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the individual and family to understand their values, interests, and goals, implementing programming that considers all aspects of the child, inclusive of sensorimotor, cognitive, communicative, recreational, and social activities.
Responsibilities- Establish occupational therapy treatment goals through dynamic and standardized assessment tools
- Consult closely with multi-disciplinary team members to create collaborative treatment plans and integrative strategies
- Provide individual therapy sessions as well as group and/or co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate
- Maintain patient records, documentation, and appropriate billing in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy
- Implement programming that considers all aspects of the child, inclusive of, but not limited to sensorimotor, cognitive, communicative, recreational, and social activities
- A master's degree in a related field
- A current and unrestricted license and/or certification required to practice within your clinical domain
- Excellent clinical skills
- Flexibility and openness to learning
- An appreciation for a wide range of therapeutic approaches
- Possession of a passion for working with children
- Skillful use of software and systems including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products
Cortica offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $84,000 to $105,000 based on skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching and rapid vesting, paid holidays and wellness days, life insurance, disability insurance options, tuition reimbursements for professional development and continuing education, and referral bonuses.
