Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Metrology Engineer to join our team at Applied Materials. This is a critical role that will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products and processes.

About the Role

This is a 10-day, 8-hour shift position (United States of America) with 20% travel time required. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex problems, take a new perspective on existing solutions, and exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate incoming supplier material for compliance to part print specifications using Coordinate Measuring Machine programming capabilities.
  • Design and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.
  • Develop methods and parameters, project methodology, and/or project proposals.
  • Develop and apply quality standards in accordance with company and customer requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Detailed knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing for application during dimensional metrology inspections.
  • Experience using Hand Tools for Metrology - Surface Plates, Pin Gages, Calipers, Micrometers, etc.
  • Experience on Zeiss CMM Calypso Programming.
  • Knowledge of Precision Machining, Secondary Processes, Coatings, Platings, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Zeiss O-Inspect Experience.
  • Industrial CT scanning experience.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of best practices and how their area integrates with others, as well as awareness of the competition and factors that differentiate them in the market.

Salary and Benefits

The salary offered will be between $96,000.00 and $132,000.00, depending on location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity of our current team members. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program.
