We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced nursing professional to join our faculty team at St. John's University. As a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Nursing, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of nursing leaders and professionals.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires a master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution. The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and experience teaching baccalaureate nursing students. A doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, or DNP) is preferred.
Responsibilities- Teach didactic and clinical courses in medical-surgical nursing, as well as other areas of nursing education as needed.
- Develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and evaluations to ensure student learning outcomes.
- Participate in program recruitment, student advisement, and mentorship.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of academic policies and procedures.
- Evaluate student achievement of course objectives and provide feedback.
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Current clinical experience and national certification in specialty area of focus.
- Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York or eligibility for RN licensure in New York state.
- Experience teaching baccalaureate nursing students and academic leadership.
St. John's University offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $115,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
