Job Summary

ProMedica is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team in Perrysburg, OH. As a key member of our patient-centric care delivery model, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures in the application of non-ionizing high frequency ultrasonic waves for diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Ultrasound Equipment: Utilize advanced ultrasound instrumentation to accomplish various tests according to established procedures.
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Image Analysis: Recognize the significance of all images that appear on the monitor, differentiating artifacts from normal or pathological processes.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain equipment, including cameras, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with changes or enhancements in techniques and procedures through ongoing education and training.
  • Collaboration: Assist in other areas of the practice when patient volume allows and participate in practice staff meetings.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent with a business emphasis.
  • Certification: Must have attended an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or have had equivalent experience accepted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Skills: Strong commitment to customer service, effective interpersonal skills, and ability to input and retrieve information from a computer.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to occasionally lift and carry light equipment and supplies.
