Position Title: College Counseling Fellow

Position Overview:

As a College Counseling Fellow at KIPP DC, you will be instrumental in assisting high school seniors navigate the complexities of the postsecondary selection process. This two-year fellowship offers invaluable professional growth and practical experience in the field of counseling. Your primary objective will be to support students in their applications and facilitate a smooth transition to reputable post-secondary opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating students' college and career application journeys
  • Establishing and nurturing strong connections with students and their families
  • Guiding students through the financial aid application process
  • Providing essential support for students' transition to college or other post-secondary options
  • Engaging in student and family programming initiatives
  • Tracking student data and monitoring progress
  • Collaborating with the school community to enhance college readiness programs

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

Compensation & Benefits:

The compensation for the College Counseling Fellow position is set at $50,000. In addition to a competitive salary, KIPP DC provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare, retirement plans, and transportation allowances.
