As a key member of our neuro care team, you will provide individualized, patient-focused care for patients who have suffered an acute stroke, are recovering from brain or spine surgeries, or are neurologically unstable and require frequent assessment or monitoring.
Our Team: Our Inpatient Neuro team is equipped with advanced technology and a welcoming environment that promotes family visitation, which is crucial to the healing process. We combine critical care training with a patient-centered focus, ensuring patients receive the best care during their stay.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with neurologists and nursing support staff to provide high-quality patient care
- Assess and monitor patients with acute stroke, brain or spine surgeries, or neurological instability
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patient needs
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in neuro care
Requirements:
- Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN) accredited school of nursing or three years of related professional nursing experience
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- One year of nursing experience preferred
- Computer skills for documentation and work-related purposes required
- CPR certified
