About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Necropsy Technician III to join our team at Charles River Laboratories. As a key member of our safety assessment team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform necropsy procedures, including tissue handling, trimming, and embedding, to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Conduct animal handling, euthanasia, and sedation procedures, as well as dissection and collection of samples and weights.
  • Prepare laboratory solutions, set up and clean laboratory equipment, and maintain accurate records of procedures and results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of studies and high-quality data.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in necropsy and laboratory procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a biological science preferred.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a laboratory setting, with a focus on necropsy and animal handling.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
