POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Finance Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial documentation, generating detailed reports, and delivering strategic insights to foster our expansion within the tech and music sectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guide and develop junior accountants to ensure ongoing professional growth, high-quality output, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of monthly financial statements, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Support the month-end financial closing process by reconciling and analyzing accounts, including but not limited to cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intangible assets, loans, accruals, payables, credit cards, debt, equity, payroll, intercompany transactions, revenue, cost of goods sold, and leases for both domestic and international subsidiaries, as well as preparing and reviewing journal entries.
  • Investigate and rectify discrepancies in financial records, including reconciling variances, and prepare journal entries as necessary.
  • Collaborate with various departments to collect pertinent accounting information and propose process enhancements.
  • Assist with special projects including but not limited to annual audits and compliance documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be based in Los Angeles and available for weekly office visits.
  • High School Diploma and/or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP practices and financial regulations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Experience with Big 4 public accounting firms preferred.
  • Previous experience in a start-up or mid-market company environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with Netsuite, FloQast, and Tipalti preferred.

SALARY RANGE:

  • $70,000 - $75,000 annually.
