Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician's role is to ensure the facilities for Eureka Multifamily Group's Properties are maintained in the best possible condition. This includes conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, ensuring heating and plumbing systems perform at optimum functionality, and maintaining the landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol.
  • Plan and schedule repairs in a timely manner.
  • Perform general maintenance, including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
  • Repair faulty equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations.
  • Aid in budget development and ensure it is followed.
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
  • Inspect alarm systems, such as carbon dioxide and fire protection, and quickly schedule repairs when needed.
  • Undertake activities of pest control, such as spraying insecticide.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
  • Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 or more pounds.
  • Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers, and small hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work unexpected hours.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or higher.
  • HVAC Certification required.
  • EPA 1 & 2 technician certification required.
  • Bilingual is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
