About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Robotics Systems Engineer to join our Routing team at Symbotic. As a leader in automation technology, we are transforming the supply chain with our A.I.-powered robotic and software platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop real-time fleet routing systems for efficient routing of bots in the Symbotic fleet
  • Analyze existing fleet performance and lead technical design projects to increase performance along key business and customer requirements
  • Lead the design and implementation of simulation capabilities to support the development and analysis of routing and tasking algorithms
  • Drive project scoping and requirement specification providing senior leadership with deep technical insight
  • Mentor other team members to guide the team toward innovative solutions and increased productivity

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 years of extensive software engineering skills with deep technical expertise in algorithms and optimization solutions
  • Ability to architect a modern distributed scheduling and routing architecture for a complex robotics system
  • Direct experience with developing routing, fleet operations, and/or scheduling algorithms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively represent technical concepts to leadership
