Job Summary

The Supervisor - Clinic Operations Technical is a key member of the Byers Eye Institute team, responsible for managing clinical and/or support staff in designated areas of practice. This role works closely with physicians and mid-level providers to ensure operations run smoothly, policies and procedures are adhered to, and an excellent patient experience is consistently delivered.

Responsibilities
  • Manage staff assigned to the clinic, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Coordinate and lead day-to-day activities of individuals or a group of individuals, with authority for personnel actions such as hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and complex diagnostic testing equipment in collaboration with the Clinic Manager and Medical Director.
  • Provide input to business plans, lead projects, and participate in departmental committees, workgroups, and PI teams.
  • Identify and resolve technical and operational customer service requirements.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Three years' pertinent experience in acute or ambulatory setting.
  • Other requirements/licenses as needed by clinic or department.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience.
  • Strong critical and strategic thinking, analytical and planning skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Internet use.
