Job Summary

Swedish Medical Center is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body, performing x-ray therapy on patients, and explaining procedures to patients and addressing their concerns.

Responsibilities
  • Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
  • Perform x-ray therapy on patients and explain procedures to patients and address their concerns.
  • Serve patients in our emergency department, patients in our hospital, and outpatient patients in need of services.
  • Perform procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric.
  • Maintain expert technical and patient-care skills and provide quality diagnostic results.
Requirements
  • Completion of an AMA-approved Radiology Technology training program with current certification by ARRT.
  • Maintain current registry by attending continuing education activities to maintain knowledge and skill level.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Prefer 2 years recent acute care experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
  • Vocational School Graduate.
