Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Technical Writer to join our Circle Developer Experience Product team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with product and engineering teams to create high-quality written content that engages and inspires developers to build with Circle's applications and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive documentation and education materials to ensure developers can rapidly build with our APIs.
  • Determine the most effective way to present information for maximum reader comprehension, driving developer success.
  • Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions that leverage our APIs.
  • Meet with subject-matter experts to understand product and documentation requirements, ensuring niche topics are addressed.
  • Analyze information required for crafting or updating all developer and technical documentation.
  • Review and edit content developed by other Technical Writing team members.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in writing user guides, integration guides, API developer guides, mobile development documentation, in-platform instructions, installation/configuration instructions, and system operations.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in a tech company.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional developer experiences through documentation.
  • Excellent technical understanding of blockchain technologies and ecosystems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, be proactive, prioritize, communicate, and function in a small team.
  • Comfortable taking on long-term, complex technical writing projects in a self-directed manner.
  • Experience/familiarity with GitHub, Git, and a few coding and scripting languages such as Swift, Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, CSS, Python, REST APIs, and other typical office suite applications.

  • Competitive base pay range: $175,000 - $225,000.
