Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced LPN Supervisor to join our team at Cooperstown Center. As an LPN Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department and ensuring the highest level of care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Rounds: Conduct regular facility rounds to ensure the well-being of our residents and identify any potential issues.
  • Assignment Oversight: Monitor the assignments of our aides to ensure proper workflow and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Conflict Resolution: Intervene in resident conflicts, outbursts, and behavior issues in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Medication Administration: Supervise medication administration times to ensure accurate documentation and follow-up on any necessary actions.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication among staff members to ensure timely addressing of medical situations.
  • Admissions and Readmissions: Attend to all late admissions and readmissions, including paperwork and medication changes.
  • Reporting: Report to the Director of Nursing (DON) as required.

Requirements:

  • Teamwork: Must be able to work effectively as a team member.
  • Clinical Experience: Minimum 5 years of recent clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year of experience in Long Term Care or sub-acute care preferred.
  • LPN License: Valid state LPN license.
  • State Registry: Must be in good standing with the State Registry.
