Responsibilities:
Job Purpose


The role of a Culinary Preparation Specialist involves preparing food to meet the expected standards, organizing stations according to the menu, and upholding a clean and sanitary workspace in line with safe food handling practices.

Requirements

1. Prepare ingredients for service, including but not limited to chopping, portioning, mixing, etc.

2. Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.

3. Maintain cleanliness of the station and label items for proper storage.

4. Work swiftly and efficiently to ensure timely delivery to each table.

5. Appropriately stock and restock inventory.

6. Adhere to health and sanitation regulations.

7. Assist management in training new staff members within the department when applicable.

8. Communicate with store management regarding all job functions needed.

9. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
Qualifications and Skills

1. Previous experience in a high-volume culinary environment, with experience across multiple stations being a plus.

2. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, and physically demanding setting.

3. Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

4. Capability to lift loads exceeding 35 pounds and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.

5. Flexible work schedule that includes days, nights, holidays, and weekends, requiring standing and/or walking for extended periods.

6. Ability to work in conditions involving wet floors and high temperatures.

7. Frequent handwashing and/or wearing gloves is required.

8. Safe food handler's certification.
