The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a vascular neurologist to enhance our Comprehensive Stroke Program
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) is recognized for having one of the most active stroke programs in the Northeast, serving as a key tertiary referral center for urgent large vessel occlusions. Our Department of Neurology is also a leader in clinical research, engaging in numerous investigator-initiated studies and clinical trials, including participation as a regional coordinating center in the NIH-funded StrokeNet. With a team of over twenty stroke and interventional specialists, we also support a thriving neurology residency program and train three neurointerventional and three vascular neurology fellows annually.
The successful applicant will be appointed as an Assistant Professor (or higher, depending on experience) and will engage in clinical responsibilities within the MSHS Stroke Program across our integrated system hospitals. This includes involvement in the Inpatient Stroke Teaching Service, Stroke Consult Service, Outpatient Stroke Clinic, and the Telestroke Program. There are ample opportunities and resources available for clinical or bench research interests.
The selected candidates will collaborate with esteemed faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS). Our Department of Neurology is dedicated to holistic patient care, emphasizing a patient-centered approach. We align with the mission of ISMMS by integrating patient care, research, and education, viewing these as interconnected facets of medical practice. Compensation ranges from $210,000 to $350,000 (excluding bonuses/incentives or benefits).
