Salary: $17-$18/Hour

Job Description:

  • Bond loaded front inserts to molded plastic rear inserts per work order instructions.
  • Manually load and/or machine load retainers into molded plastic inserts per work order instructions.
  • Assemble and bond EMI rings to connector shell per work order instructions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Sets up equipment, prepares compounds and processes various assemblies following written and verbal instructions.
  • Essential Functions:
  • Setup equipment to meet product standards for identification, shell painting, retainer loading, contact painting, wire cutting, riveting, contact crimping, and contact hooding.
  • Weigh, mix, and identify items such as inks, paints, adhesives, molding compounds, and potting materials.
  • Able to interface with customers if necessary.
  • Follow intermediate drawings and procedures.
  • Perform connector assemblies.
  • Perform work with limited to no supervision.
  • Train and assist Assembler 1s.
  • Apply identification stamping to various components and assemblies.
  • Paint components and apply paint stripe markings to contacts.
  • Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Stage materials for shipment as required.
  • Prepare single and shielded wires for termination, crimp contacts to prepared wires, terminate simple cables to connectors, and load and operate heat treat and annealing ovens.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years' experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations.
  • Ability to read, follow, and understand verbal instruction, product/process specifications, drawings, and work orders in English.
  • Ability to use calculators.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components and assemblies using bending, reaching, and twisting body movements; in addition to using hand tools.
  • Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts.
  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

Benefits:

No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of Camarillo will be considered for this position.
