About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Machine Controls Design Engineer to join our team at Diedre Moire Corp. in Stamford, CT. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing controls systems and related components for custom-built machine tools and machining centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine customer and machine performance requirements with the design team.
  • Design prototype controls architecture to control PLCs, IO interfaces, and other components.
  • Research, evaluate, select, source, and order hardware components for controllers, interfaces, and power distribution systems.
  • Prototype, program, test, debug, and install controllers.
  • Design, test, connect, and commission network communications applications that talk to machine controllers.
Requirements
  • Requires experience designing machine controls for customized machinery in a made-to-order manufacturing environment.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of electrical power components, drives, servo motors, sensors, cameras, relays, pushbuttons, etc.
