We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team at Lifespan. As a Clinical Therapist, you will provide comprehensive clinical services to clients, including assessment, crisis intervention, behavioral skill training, case management, education, and counseling. You will also provide clinical consultation services to the team to assist clients in achieving treatment and rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, including brief treatment and support to assist in developing coping skills for behavioral management and controlling psychiatric symptoms.
- Facilitate support group sessions as assigned and function as the primary worker for a caseload of clients, including intake assessments, skills training, resource linkage, and documentation of recovery and progress.
- Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of treatment plans, including completing assessment assignments, scheduling and attending treatment planning meetings, and utilizing assessment information and staff reports in the development of treatment plans.
- Maintain a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and the use of a personal vehicle to conduct community, home, and hospital visits, as well as to transport clients as needed.
- Maintain annual CPR certification and any other related certifications or licenses as required or as needed.
- Assist clients with obtaining employment, accessing educational programs, and other community organization services related to their rehabilitation goals.
- Provide interventions and services designed to assist clients with obtaining satisfying social, leisure, and community activities that maximize their level of community integration.
- Masters' degree in any Human Services field, such as Social Work, Rehabilitation, or Agency Counseling, with three years of experience working with adults with serious mental illness.
- Ability to work evenings on a rotating basis as needed and to communicate with clients and other staff face-to-face and by telephone.
- Ability to obtain and maintain C.P.R. certification and to work as a multi-disciplinary team member.
- Ability to maintain objectivity and perspective under stress and to maintain a valid driver's license at all times.
The physical demands of this job include regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, office equipment, or controls, and talk or hear. The employee frequently walks, sits, reaches with hands and arms, and climbs. The employee occasionally stands, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls, and tastes or smells. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
