Job Title: Body Shop Mechanic

Chapman Collision Centers and Used Cars Tucson is seeking a skilled Body Shop Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for restoring customer vehicles to their pre-accident condition by inspecting, repairing, and replacing damaged mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test, diagnose, and repair or replace damaged vehicle mechanical systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
  • Repair or swap damaged vehicle frames.
  • Test-drive vehicles upon completion of repairs to ensure safety and drivability.
  • Inform the Collision Estimator and Body Shop Manager if additional repairs or parts are needed, and provide an estimate of time needed to complete repairs.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of automotive mechanical experience required; ASE certifications preferred.
  • Proven expertise in vehicle diagnostics, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs on various makes and models of vehicles.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and thoroughness in work.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating dependability and punctuality.
  • Must have your own tools.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Hours are Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm. Our team enjoys a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled shop, and a positive, productive, team-oriented work environment.
