We are seeking a board-eligible/board-certified General Surgeon to provide temporary General Surgery call coverage in a unique and beautiful rural location. Our team at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center is committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to join us in this endeavor.
Key Responsibilities- Provide temporary General Surgery call coverage for our full-time providers.
- Work a flexible schedule, including on-call coverage for one week on one week off.
- Stay within 20 minutes of the facility while providing call coverage.
- Housing and transportation to Alaska provided.
- Experienced physician with a current Alaska medical license required.
- Ideal candidate will have a passion for rural medicine and a dedication to high-quality care.
Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center is the sole provider of acute and emergency care for Kodiak Island. Accredited by The Joint Commission and designated as a Level IV trauma center by the State of Alaska, this 25-bed critical-access hospital plays an indispensable role in the lives of 14,000 Kodiak residents, the Coast Guard base, and neighboring villages.
