We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at North Westchester Restorative Therapy and Nursing. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately record patients' medical histories and vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
- Monitor patients' conditions, including fluid intake and output, and maintain accurate patient charts.
- Assist patients with daily activities, such as eating, bathing, and dressing, as needed.
- Administer medications, injections, and enemas, and assist with wound care and other basic medical tasks.
- Collect samples for lab testing and communicate with patients' family members or friends to provide advice and support.
- Proven experience as an LPN or similar role in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide emotional and psychological support to patients.
- Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures.
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle stress and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Competitive hourly rate of $41.83 per hour.
