Position Summary: As a proficient maintenance technician, your role will be crucial in ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment and facilities. You will engage in troubleshooting and repairing intricate systems, including PLCs, electronics, pneumatics, and machining. We offer you the chance to showcase your technical skills through preventive maintenance, overhauls, fabrication, programming, and installation, all aimed at minimizing operational downtime. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical repairs on complex electronic, mechanical, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Troubleshoot, repair, fabricate, and/or install electronic systems, intricate gauges, instrumentation repairs, and new components, including mechanical and electronic interfaces.
- Diagnose, repair, adjust, install, and program electronic, electric, and pneumatic controls and instrumentation that regulate and measure equipment performance, building access, automation systems, fire protection systems, material handling systems, and energy measurement systems.
- Assist production personnel in identifying malfunctions in systems and equipment.
- Execute major equipment overhauls and test machinery post-repair, changeovers, or extended periods of inactivity.
- Maintain production equipment while adhering to a defined production schedule.
- Operate general machinery and tools, including saws, drills, power tools, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
- Maintain records in accordance with Maintenance Management System requirements and job assignments, utilizing computer systems for communication.
- Fulfill duties in alignment with quality assurance, GMPs, safety protocols, and other company policies, ensuring compliance with governmental codes and regulations.
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace, which includes cleaning equipment and tools, sweeping and mopping floors, and managing waste disposal.
- Collaborate with Bakery personnel and other departments to minimize disruptions to production and maintenance schedules.
- Supervise contractors during their scheduled visits to the bakery facility.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of experience in instrumentation, measurement and control systems, electronics, mechanical, and/or electrical experience in industrial and manufacturing machinery, or 6 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in at least three of the following areas: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and food manufacturing process controls.
- Understanding of equipment setup, functionality, operating procedures, and preventive maintenance techniques.
- Able to manage multiple tasks while prioritizing and planning work activities effectively.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
