Key Responsibilities- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the data platform, aligning with company goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, operations, and business stakeholders, to deliver data solutions that drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
- Lead and participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups to ensure a steady flow and success of the team's work.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, influence their direction, and conduct thorough analyses to decide whether to buy or build solutions, making decisions that are based on getting the best return on investment.
- Use strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address technical and strategic challenges in innovative ways, using data and intuition to make strategic choices when things are unclear or complex.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Master's, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD.
- 3+ years of domain experience in data analytics platforms, data analytics experience, or ML platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., science, engineering, computer science, Information Systems). Advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven track record of managing and evolving a product portfolio and/or driving product vision and strategy.
- Demonstrate strong experience and know-how in one or more of the following technologies: Compute engines (Hadoop, Spark, BigQuery), Streaming systems (Apache Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, Azure Stream) ETL Platforms (Apache NiFi, Google Dataflow, AWS Glue), and BI Tools (Tableau, Denodo, Power BI).
