**Role Overview:** As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating advanced CNC machining equipment to manufacture ball bearing components. This position operates on the 2nd shift, with hours from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • **Setup and Operations:** Efficiently set up and operate production machinery, including CNC lathes, honers, and bore grinders.
  • **Gauging:** Perform precise measurements of bearing geometry utilizing cutting-edge computer-controlled gauging equipment, along with digital calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
  • **Quality Control:** Implement process control methodologies such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Pareto analysis to monitor and enhance the manufacturing process. Conduct quality checks to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • **Zone Control:** Utilize ANDON systems to signal any abnormalities and troubleshoot issues promptly.
  • **Maintenance:** Regularly inspect, clean, and maintain equipment to avert potential issues, including performing operator-level preventive maintenance.
  • **Material Handling:** Manage the movement of work in progress to adjacent operations and complete necessary administrative tasks.
  • **Customer Focus:** Understand and meet the technical requirements of both internal and external customers, ensuring compliance with their specifications.
  • **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with various plant teams aimed at continuous improvement and occasionally facilitate team initiatives.
  • **Training Development:** Enhance and update training materials for fellow technicians and assist in their training as needed.
  • **Safety Commitment:** Engage in daily safety responsibilities, including adherence to safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • **Continuous Improvement:** Propose and implement innovative ideas for quality enhancement and cost reduction.

**Position Requirements:**
  • Technical or mechanical background.
  • Proven reliability in attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in precision grinding or assembly.
  • Commitment to safety practices and protocols.
  • Proficient computer skills for data entry and navigation of quality management systems.
