Nurse Practitioner, Labor and Delivery Unit

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Novant Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families during the labor and delivery process.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with deliveries and provide postpartum care to new mothers and their babies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in maternal and child health.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
  • At least one year of recent Labor and Delivery experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
