Role Overview
As a Registered Sonographer specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine, you will engage in a rewarding career dedicated to enhancing patient care and advancing your professional skills. In a facility known for its clinical excellence, your responsibilities will include performing diagnostic ultrasounds to assess both normal and abnormal anatomical structures, ensuring high-quality care for patients across all age groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients prior to, during, and after ultrasound procedures, adhering to departmental protocols.
- Utilize advanced imaging equipment, including radiographic systems, Computed Radiography (CR), Digital Radiography (DR), and Picture Archive Communication Systems (PACS).
- Participate in the education and training of students and fellow staff members as needed.
- Foster a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic atmosphere for patients and their families.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Ultrasound program or equivalent training is required.
Experience: Previous experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Licensure and Certification: Must hold ARRT registry/ARDMS certification in one of the following areas: OB/Gyn, Abdomen, or Neurosonography. CPR certification is also required.
Additional Skills: Strong interpersonal and technical skills, along with adaptability in job assignments, are essential.
