Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sourcing Manager to join our team at Walmart. As a key member of our sourcing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sourcing strategies to optimize GMV, profit, and market share.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage private brand sourcing strategies and supplier matrices to support Every Day Low Prices (EDLP) strategy.
  • Communicate with retail teams to align, arrange buy trips, and manage critical issues during the order execution process.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth product development process from ideation to final production.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships, including account management, project management, and factories.
  • Conduct supplier assessments and formulate the supplier matrix for assigned categories.
  • Collaborate with business partners and suppliers to understand business needs and develop optimal solutions.
  • Manage sourcing and operational issues regarding costing and quality of Omni-channel.
  • Lead identified sourcing opportunities to ensure supplier capability.
  • Guide partners and suppliers to ensure product quality, delivery, and price goals.
  • Ensure follow-up of all sourcing activities with support teams and suppliers.
  • Drive RFP/RFI/RFQ, negotiate price, and develop alternatives to achieve sourcing objectives.
  • Partner with Merchandise Quality Engineers on problems related to quality.
  • Present sourcing solutions that mitigate risks while maintaining profitability.
  • Understand supplier capabilities, capacity, and performance.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.
  • Use in-depth understanding of should-be cost structure to provide cost-saving opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost, quality, and delivery performance, newness, innovation by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related area.
  • 3 years' experience in sourcing.
  • Bilingual in English and one or more language used to transact business in assigned country.
  • Project Management certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in retail, manufacturing, or sourcing.
  • Experience working for a retailer, or major brand, importer/agent serving a major retail customer.
