  • This LO role involves customer interaction and responsibilities that may include assessing needs and referring customers interested in dwelling-secured products to a SAFE team member. This position assists customers without processing applications or negotiating terms for dwelling-secured transactions. Individuals in a LO role must also comply with Loan Originator requirements as outlined in the job expectations below.
Essential Qualifications:
  • At least 6 months of experience in Customer Service, Sales, or Relationship Building, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • FINRA registration including Series 7 and 66 (or recognized equivalents).
  • Experience in financial services.
  • Client service experience.
  • 6+ months of experience in client or sales services.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships.
  • Experience in sales or sales support.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Established connections within the local market.
Job Expectations:
  • Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) roles must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification standards and adhere to related Wells Fargo policies. These requirements include financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background checks. A current credit report will be utilized to evaluate financial responsibility and credit fitness, although a credit score is not part of the assessment. Successful candidates must also comply with ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening if necessary.
  • For positions in the U.S.: Obtaining and/or maintaining the appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) licenses is mandatory for continued employment. Candidates must complete the FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) examinations, or their equivalents, within a specified time frame after starting employment, depending on the number of licenses required. Compliance with state registration and licensing requirements is essential, and specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may also be necessary. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards.
  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion of a background check. Internal transfers must comply with regulatory requirements regarding associated persons.
