Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

As an Evening Warehouse/Forklift Operator at M Dyer Global, you will be integral to the efficient management of warehouse activities. Your role encompasses the preparation and execution of incoming and outgoing shipments, providing essential support to the supply chain by handling, loading, shipping, and receiving various goods and products. Proficient operation of technical equipment, optimizing loading processes for effective logistics, and assisting with diverse warehouse tasks are key responsibilities to ensure the seamless operation of our business.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Operations General Manager


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Including but not limited to:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of packing materials and equipment.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of household and office goods from vehicles and containers.
  • Verify all items against inventory and packing lists, ensuring safe and accurate storage.
  • Provide necessary documentation for each storage location to relevant personnel.
  • Oversee the safe loading and unloading of containers, maintaining precise records.
  • Sort waste materials for regular collection, ensuring cleanliness in the yard and on vehicles.
  • Safely operate forklifts while adhering to safety regulations and reporting any incidents.
  • Ensure all accidents are documented and reported appropriately.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, environmental standards, and quality improvements affecting company services.
  • Keep the warehouse environment clean and orderly, promptly reporting safety hazards to management.
  • Follow departmental procedures while meeting all quality benchmarks.
  • Maintain confidentiality and perform additional duties as assigned by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to successfully obtain TSA/STA approval.
  • Must acquire a Measure Master license within the first month of employment.
  • Forklift certification is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
  • Capability to follow instructions and demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills.

WORK SCHEDULE

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Hourly/non-exempt starting at $17.00 per hour.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this position, employees are frequently required to bend, crawl, sit, talk, move about, hear, and communicate effectively. The role may involve working in confined spaces and under challenging lighting conditions. Noise levels may be elevated when operating power equipment, and employees may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions while transporting materials. The ability to frequently lift up to 100 pounds is essential, and assistance should be sought for bulky or excessively heavy items. Proper use of safety equipment is required to prevent injury to oneself or others.
