Clinical Nurse II

About the Role:
The University of California San Francisco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse II to join our team in the Adult Infusion center at Parnassus. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will deliver direct patient care to an assigned adult infusion outpatient population, utilizing an interdisciplinary approach across the continuum of care with adherence to National Patient Safety Goals set forth by regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care to an assigned adult infusion outpatient population
- Utilize an interdisciplinary approach across the continuum of care
- Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals set forth by regulatory requirements
- Recognized and utilized as a clinical resource
- Investment in the overall forward movement of the unit and the organization
Requirements:
- Two (2) or more years of recent direct patient care as an RN experience in malignant Hematology oncology
- Experience working with Blood transplant and cellular therapy
- Ability to triage basic oncology symptoms and issues related to oncology treatments
- Experience administering infusions, pain management, transfusion therapy, hydration, etc.
- Knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to this position
- Must be able to function under stress and with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) or more years of adult Oncology Nursing experience
- OCN Certification or other relevant specialty certification
- Experience administering chemotherapy/biotherapy
- Membership in professional organizations is recommended
