Position Summary:
As a member of DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS), you will be expected to demonstrate attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Your expertise will help uphold our company's values and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address urgent repair needs promptly.
  • Conduct both basic and complex repairs on agricultural and outdoor power equipment as instructed.
  • Assess equipment condition through inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn or damaged components.
  • Ensure equipment readiness by completing preventive maintenance schedules and implementing upgrades.
  • Assist in the fabrication of new equipment as required.
  • Resolve equipment issues by performing repairs, adjustments, and replacements on major systems, including power trains, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
  • Verify equipment performance through test drives and system adjustments.
  • Adhere to federal and state equipment standards by conducting necessary tests.
  • Respond to emergencies or breakdowns in the field.
  • Maintain shop equipment by following operating instructions and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Manage inventory by tracking supplies and placing orders as needed.
  • Enhance job knowledge through educational opportunities and reading relevant publications.
  • Contribute to the reputation of the maintenance department by taking ownership of tasks and seeking opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; technical training in Mechanics preferred.
  • Experience: Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and have reliable transportation. A Class B CDL is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Heavy Truck repair, Small Engine repair, and working with various equipment types, including ATVs, UTVs, and farm tractors. Welding and fabrication experience is also required, along with proficiency in using hand tools.
