Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled and motivated Logistics Manager to enhance our team within the manufacturing sector. This role is vital to our operations and requires an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will manage all facets of the logistics process, including shipping, freight management, third-party logistics (3PL), procurement, demand forecasting, brokerage, delivery, material handling, and production scheduling, while utilizing Epicor software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and execute strategic initiatives to optimize logistics operations in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Oversee shipping, freight, 3PL, and delivery processes to guarantee timely and efficient product distribution.
  • Manage the creation and oversight of purchase orders, ensuring precision and punctuality.
  • Lead demand forecasting efforts to accurately predict inventory requirements.
  • Collaborate with brokers to facilitate cost-effective transportation solutions.
  • Supervise material management to maintain optimal inventory levels and resource efficiency.
  • Direct production scheduling to ensure it meets demand and logistics capabilities.
  • Employ Epicor software for logistics and production management tasks.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with logistics service providers.
  • Regularly assess logistics operations data to identify improvement opportunities and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and standards.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in logistics management within the manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in shipping, freight, 3PL, procurement, demand forecasting, brokerage, delivery, material handling, and production scheduling.
  • Proficient in Epicor software.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of logistics and inventory management systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and the ability to implement them throughout the production process.
