Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team at Butler Aerospace and Defense. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic recruitment plans to attract and hire top talent in the engineering field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with business stakeholders to understand talent needs and develop strategic recruitment plans.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR business partners to establish requirements, organizational fit, and sourcing strategies.
  • Target hard-to-fill positions through networking and unconventional sourcing methods.
  • Participate in targeted job fairs and trade show events to network with and recruit top talent in the industry.
  • Sourcing and screening internal and external candidates.
  • Establish relationships with well-qualified candidates, both internal and external, and build a pipeline of passive candidates.
  • Employment offer development and negotiation.
  • Support of Veterans & Diverse Candidate initiatives.
  • Applicant tracking and maintenance of appropriate/accurate records for employment federal and state compliance reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience recruiting a variety of professional and technical positions across multiple disciplines.
  • Solid background recruiting for a variety of technical engineering skillsets.
  • Familiarity with various manufacturing positions, manufacturing programs, machines, measuring tools, and manufacturing skillsets.
  • Experience working with various unions and union placement.
  • Strong ability to proactively search and recruit for candidates internally and externally, with a drive to fill positions with the best talent in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers and desire for strong customer service.
  • Ability to quickly gain an understanding of the business needs and strategy and articulate the needs of a position.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or another related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience recruiting at the level referenced above is required.
