**Salary:** An estimated annual salary of $160,000 - $220,000, based on experience and location. This figure includes 100% of exam/professional fees, which can increase earnings potential.

**Job Responsibilities:** As an Independent Optometrist at Walmart, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye exams to patients of all ages. You will diagnose and treat various eye conditions, prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and other vision correction devices as needed. Your role also involves establishing your days of practice, hours of operation, controlling your patient schedule, and setting your fee schedule.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state optometry license.
  • General Liability Certificate.
  • Professional Liability Insurance Certificate.
  • W-9 form.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) from an accredited school.
  • Valid state ophthalmology license.
