Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Nationwide

Duration: Full-Time

Hours: 30-40 hours per week, 4 days a week

Caseload:

  • Special education teachers who can provide Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) for selected students
    • Position 1: Grades 9-12, approximately 25 students (full-time)
    • Position 2: Grades 6-8, approximately 10 students (approximately 10-12 hours/week, Monday-Thursday)

Primary Duties:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs
  • Adapt and modify curriculum and materials to meet the individual needs of students
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational and developmental goals
  • Monitor and document student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and other relevant school meetings
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education policies and regulations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
