Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Carpentry Instructor to join our team at Baltimore City Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing an instructional program in Career Technology Education (CTE) and providing related educational services for students in a skills-based learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess student abilities and develop individualized learning plans to meet their educational goals.
  • Plan and implement instructional activities, including laboratory experiences, to ensure students acquire the necessary skills and knowledge in Carpentry.
  • Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement career pathways that prepare students for certification, internships, and employment in the Carpentry industry.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Career and Technology Education or a related field.
  • Three to five years of Carpentry-related work experience.
  • Possession of or eligibility for NCCER instructor certification.
  • Possession of or eligibility for Instructor Certification Training Program (ICTP).
