**Job Summary**

The Director of Facilities is responsible for overseeing the operational and facilities needs of Southern Utah University. This role requires a high level of organizational and communication skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Collaborate with senior management and other business department staff to manage the financial operations of the facilities department.
  • Manage the use of purchasing card transactions and ensure compliance with university policies.
  • Supervise direct-report employees and manage safety, operations, renovations, maintenance, and repairs of university buildings.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to manage the long-term use of motor vehicles and university grounds.
  • Manage the building lock-up schedule and key distribution for seasonal employees.
  • Collaborate with festival staff to execute priorities for festival facilities and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate the installation and removal of the holiday light display at the Beverley Center.

**Requirements:**

  • High School Diploma/GED (minimum)
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Valid driver's license
  • OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
