Housekeeper Job Summary

UPMC Western Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to support Twin Lakes in Somerset, PA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow all safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
  • Perform maintenance duties such as mowing, snowplowing/removal, painting, electric, and preventative maintenance to ensure the facility is well-maintained.
  • Conduct luggage and room searches, as well as run fire drills to ensure patient safety.
  • Meet and greet visitors, transport patients, and serve food as needed.
  • Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
  • Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, reporting problems to the supervisor.
  • Remove trash from all assigned areas and clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices, and equipment, following established procedures.
  • Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.
  • Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to successfully complete housekeeping duties.
  • Ability to use housekeeping equipment.
  • Successful completion of POWRR Curriculum preferred.
  • No contact with medications is allowed.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
  • Act 34
