About the Role: At Walgreens, we are seeking an experienced Pharmacist Leader to join our team. As a leader in pharmacy operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of insurance claims, resolving patient issues, and preventing payment rejections.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of pharmacists and technicians to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with centralized support for patient registration, exception resolution, and assist with resolving patient issues.
  • Maintain current knowledge of information technology associated with pharmacy systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, and standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies for pharmacy asset protection and inventory management.
  • Assist in analyzing performance data and implementing procedures for improvement.

Requirements:

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
