Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hotel Engineer II to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the hotel's inventory of tools and equipment, including ordering and requisitioning parts and supplies as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management to ensure that all maintenance issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Display a high level of proficiency in one or more of the following areas: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management.
  • Meet all applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical background preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in hotel engineering/maintenance required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification required.
